Ever wanted to take a ride in a DAF Truck? Now you can, but online. Live streams are more popular than ever. That’s why we decided to take a seat in a DAF truck and treat our fans to a ride on Twitch. During the livestream, the community could ask questions about DAF trucks and the work of a truck driver.
The Route
In this pilot, we collaborated with Trucker_Dylan, a trucker livestreamer on Twitch. We went live on his Twitch channel and DAF NV’s Instagram Live. We started at the headquarters in Eindhoven and drove for 4 hours through the east and south of the Netherlands.
Results
During the livestream, more than 3,700 unique viewers from all over the world tuned in (Netherlands, United Kingdom, Germany, USA, Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, France, Finland). 185 DAF fans actively engaged in the chat, and the DAF Twitch channel received a boost with new followers! It’s high time for another ride.
